Electric Eco-Tad SX

  • $ 2,052.00

Affirm does a soft check on your credit (which won't affect your credit score).

The Eco-Tad SX is the most affordable SUN tadpole trike and it's full of features. It has a fully adjustable mesh-back saddle with a padded bottom that keeps you cool and comfortable. There are spare bottle mounts on the handlebar and seat frame.

Setting this electric trike apart from others is its under seat steering with high horizontal handlebars and bottom bracket positioned slightly below the seat for more casual riding. This e-trike utilizes the compact yet powerful 1000w performance electric drive system paired with a 48 volt Li-ion battery pack for 26 mph top speeds and plenty of torque.

How to Measure Your X-Seam

At ElectricTrike.com we like to use the X-Seam Measurement to fit riders on recumbent trikes, and inseam to fit riders on upright trikes (like the sun traditional).

We use this measurement to adjust your trike to fit you out-of-the-box, but it's simple to adjust your trike later to suit your preferences. This is just a rough measurement to make things easier for you.

You can see how to take the measurement in our video here.

Or you can read about how to measure it in-depth here:

To measure your X-seam, you'll need a tape measure, a sturdy board (like a piece of plywood or an ironing board), and an assistant to help you. If you currently ride a recumbent bike, you can use that to take the measurement instead of the board.

Start by placing the board against a wall at 60*. You can use a protractor (or print this one out) to measure the angle, or just measure the length of your board, divide that length by 2 and place the end of the board that distance from the wall. Example: a 36" long board will be placed 18" away from the wall to get a 60* angle.

Now, measure the length from the end of the board to the end of your feet. This is your X-Seam.

If you're having trouble with the measurement or want to size your bike a different way, feel free to choose "I'm not sure" from the drop-down menu and we can discuss your needs after you place your order.

Features

The Eco-Tad SX is the most affordable SUN tadpole trike and it's full of features. It has a fully adjustable mesh-back saddle with a padded bottom that keeps you cool and comfortable. There are spare bottle mounts on the handlebar and seat frame.

Comfortable Handlebars

The electric Eco-Tad features comfortable direct-steering handlebars. This allows for a familiar, natural hand position with higher handlebars than some under-seat steering recumbents.

Dual Disc Brake

The Electric Eco-Tad features independently controlled dual front disc brakes - this gives safe, long-lasting brake performance.

Easy-To-Read Segment Display
The Electric Eco-Tad features an easy-to-read backlit display with large text on an articulating mount. This advanced segment LCD includes a battery meter, speed & trip distance readout, and programmable top speed limit.
Simple 1x7 Gearing
Even if it's been a while since you rode a bike, you'll appreciate the Eco-Tad's simple 1x7 gearing. This system means every gear you need is available at the 􀃸ick of the wrist. No need to worry about double shifting or gear combinations!
500-1000w Geared Hub Motor
The 500-1000w E-BikeKit rear geared hub motor features impressive 84 n-m torque and a USA handbuilt wheel with single-butted 12-13 gauge spokes for durability.
Throttle-on-Demand
The easy to use thumb throttle allows you to engage the motor whenever you need it. Use the throttle to get a boost when starting from a stop or to help get up to cruising speed. The Eco Tad also features a pedal-assist sensor for PAS operation.
